Terms

Last updated October 4, 2026

Use Sortbot to organize things you own or manage. Keep control of your account, review AI suggestions, and connect only agents you trust.

Using Sortbot

These terms govern your use of Sortbot, including the app, API, and MCP tools. Use the service lawfully and only upload content you have permission to use. Do not access another person’s account, bypass usage limits, disrupt the service, or use it to distribute harmful or unlawful content.

Your account and access

You are responsible for activity through your account and for protecting your email, session, sign-in and pairing links, and API key. A Guest account starts without an email; access may be lost if its browser session is cleared or expires. Adding and verifying your email lets you sign in again.

Sharing an API key or pairing link gives access to your account. Agents using your key can read, add, edit, move, or delete records through the tools you allow them to use. Review their actions and revoke access when it is no longer needed.

Your content

You retain ownership of the content you provide. You give Sortbot permission to store, process, and send relevant content to its service providers as needed to deliver the features you use. Our Privacy notice explains this processing.

You can export inventory through the API and delete records. Keep a separate copy of information you cannot afford to lose; Sortbot is not a substitute for an independent backup.

AI suggestions

AI recognition, transcription, search, and chat can be incomplete or incorrect. Review names, descriptions, locations, and proposed actions before relying on them. Do not rely on Sortbot to identify hazardous materials, verify product safety or authenticity, or make decisions where an error could cause harm.

Plans and allowances

Guest and verified plans have the allowances shown on the homepage and in Settings. A capture is a successfully created item or container, whether added manually or with AI. One submitted Ask Sortbot message counts once, including its tool calls. Deleting an item does not refund its capture.

Reaching a capture or message limit does not remove access to your saved inventory. Creating a Guest or Free account does not start a paid subscription. Any paid purchase requires a separate purchase flow and agreement to its price and billing terms.

Availability and changes

We may update features, allowances, or these terms as the service develops. We may restrict access to prevent abuse or protect the service. Sortbot is provided as available, without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation or error-free results, to the extent permitted by applicable law. These terms do not limit rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Contact

Sortbot is maintained by Oguz Bilgic. For questions, use the contact information linked from the maintainer’s public GitHub profile. Do not share private records or account credentials publicly.

We will update the date above when these terms change. For API and MCP access, see agents.md.
